Returning for a sixth year, this free event for 13-19 year olds is a unique chance for young people to learn about their prospects in the creative industries.
Organised by the Exhibition Road Cultural Group (ERCG), Creative Quarter provides a chance to meet professional artists, designers and scientists – as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students – and to take part in free drop-in activities, workshops, talks and demonstrations.
It gives access to some of the latest developments in the creative industries, as well as an overview of different education and career pathways young people can follow.
Led by the V&A, ERCG member organisations running events this year include: Imperial College London; Kensington Palace; Royal Albert Hall; Royal College of Art; Royal College of Music; Science Museum, and the Serpentine Gallery.
Booking
Advance booking for talks and workshops is essential (you can find details in the programme). If you are moving between organisations for events, please allow between 20 and 35 minutes change-over time.
Last year more than 200 places for workshops and talks were booked by schools and colleges who either failed to turn up or brought considerably fewer students they had booked. This not only prevents other groups from booking but also wastes the venue’s budget.
We are under pressure to start charging for each student attending to ensure groups turn up but are keen to avoid this. Therefore please book only the number of places you are confident you can fill and if, for any reason, you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible. A cancellation fee of £50 may apply if a booking is cancelled within 14 working days of the Creative Quarter day.
