The redevelopment of Exhibition Road

The Exhibition Road Scheme is a £30m project to improve the infrastructure of, access to, and facilities within the Exhibition Road area. Led by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in partnership with the City of Westminster and the Mayor of London, it is due for completion in 2010.

The project, designed by Dixon Jones Architects, aims to turn Exhibition Road into one of the finest streetscapes in London, and the best possible environment for all users and residents of the area, including the 19 million visitors it attracts each year. The project is included as one of the Mayor of London’s 100 Public Spaces initiative and has recently received a positive review from CABE.
