Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

Exhibition Road is one of approximately 1,000 streets that make up the five square miles of central London known as Kensington and Chelsea.

Looking after them all, is one of Britain’s best performing local authorities.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s primary purpose is to provide its residents, businesses and many visitors with first class, value for money services.  But because of the importance of streets like Exhibition Road – our country’s most significant intellectual highway – sometimes the Council has to think nationally, rather than just locally.

That is why the Royal Borough, as part of its ‘legacy’ programme, is leading  the most talked-about streetscape project in Britain, aimed at giving the many cultural gems of Exhibition Road the magnificent setting they deserve.
