The Exhibition Road Commission is an initiative of the Exhibition Road Cultural Group, a partnership of the leading cultural and educational institutions in South Kensington: the home of science, art and inspiration.
The Commission brings together leading international artists with scientists, researchers and creative thinkers around Exhibition Road to develop new, site-specific installations and interdisciplinary events across all the venues.
Following a competition, a jury of leading figures in the arts and sciences selected Tomás Saraceno as the first commissioned artist. Studio Saraceno are in residence in Exhibition Road this autumn developing their Aerocene project in collaboration with scientists, designers, engineers and curators from diverse disciplines. You can get involved and learn more during our next public event: Aerocene Campus on 26 November at the Royal College of Art. Find out more here.
Join our Founding Patrons Circle. The Exhibition Road Commission already benefits from the support of a leading group of visionary philanthropists who support our long term goal to establish it as a top international cultural initiative in the years to come. Their support, experience and advocacy has been invaluable. We continue to expand our circle and invite you to join our patrons in supporting this pioneering initiative.
Sponsor the Exhibition Road Commission. More than sponsors, we are looking for partners who are interested to play an active role and bring their talent and experience to the initiative. You would enjoy an incredible range of benefits over a period of 6 months in late 2017/early 2018, whilst the installation is on site on Exhibition Road. It is a unique branding opportunity, with a reach of over 5 million people, and a chance to establish collaborations with a group of highly respected institutions.
